This egg has not been altered in any way and is exactly as it was when it popped out of the bird.

Wow!   How about a photo of the bird?  Never saw one that dark.   Any special diet?

Jean:
It\'s the first egg out of a lavender pullet.  I am sure the color will lighten considerably.
