Just a few comments on some of the junior show birds. There were really some outstanding quality birds shown in the junior show. I love the Hildebrandt blue wheaten large fowl pullet; she may be the best female large fowl in that color I have seen yet. Notice the wing carriage on the BB black bantam cock if you can see it, the photo is very dark. The winning LF \"brown red\" junior bird is not a brown red, however, and it is disappointing the judge would not know that. Look at the color of the wings. In the open show, I was very impressed with Jerry\'s B.V. buff pullet. Look at the very even golden buff color combined with those dark legs. Goes to show it can be done. The open RV black cock was very photogenic too; if it were a photo contest he would have to be the winner, with the buff pullet a close second.
