Rooster breeding question

I know that after you take a rooster away from your hens, the hens can still lay fertile eggs for up 3-4 weeks, but if you replace rooster #1 with rooster #2 the day after you take rooster #1 out, is it possible to start getting chicks from both roosters soon after? Is one or the other more dominate than the other since it was first or is current? How does that work?

It is my understanding that the male who bred her most recently would produce more offspring than the one who bred her previously, but there would be some chicks from both males, and unless it's obvious (#1 is black & #2 is splash over a black hen) you couldn't be sure of paternity until the first male had been out for 3 weeks (I personally go 30 days). This is assuming both are fertile and both breed the hen. Last year I got some really interesting looking things from my lavender hens because a) the black male apparently hadn't warmed up to them yet and b) whatever bred them previously stuck around more than 21 days.
