Criteria and Timing for Requesting an ABC Meet
« on: October 01, 2013, 09:37:41 AM »
I am the North Central District Director and recently had requests to place certain meets that I could not fulfill.  I'm afraid I may have mislead the member (sorry, Barbara).  In an effort to reduce further confusion, here are the criteria for placing an ABC Meet.

Meets will only be placed if a member requests a meet for a specific show in time for the distribution of information via the ABC quarterly Bulletin, prior to the entry deadline for that show.  For planning purposes, members need to know well in advance when and where meets are placed.

As a general rule of thumb, meets should only be placed where it is reasonably expected that three or more members will show.  (In practice we're typically ok with an expectation of three or more "exhibitors.")

The required information includes:
Name of Show
Location
Date(s) of Show
Show Superintendent Name and Contact Information
Link to Show Website, if available

A Meet Request form download is available on the home page of our website.  It is helpful to the Director if you use the request from, but not mandatory.
