Brown Red History?

Does anyone know the history of the Brown Red variety for both classes? What was used to create etc??

I am not aware of the brown red history.  I believe the variety was created by Mike Gilbert.  I cannot be sure, but I thought the information used to be readily available to look up here on the forum.  However, after the split we became aware that one of the people who left removed several topics from the forum and we are unable to put them back unless we can specifically look and find them on an archive search.

I am hoping to have Brown Reds ready to sell next year so more people can raise them and help get them spread around. I will probably only sell Brown Reds next year also. I am trying to get a better work schedule so i will be able to ship. However i will be hatching chicks and checking egg color before i decide if i will be selling chicks.
