She would like to have our 2007 ABC National in the Western District. Please have any interested show clubs submit bids.

We have not received any bids from any show clubs to host next year\'s ABC National.  We will accept bids from any and all show clubs, thru November 15th, to host our 2007 ABC National Meet.  Please have them emailed to be.  The Board of Directors will then vote, so the location and dates can be included in the next Bulletin.

FYI, below is a copy of the ballot I sent to the ABC board members today.  They have until the 22nd to vote on the location for the 2007 ABC National.

Please vote, by return email, for one of the seven locations listed below by November 22nd.

Wisconsin International, WI
\"The Wisconsin International Poultry Club would like to place a bid for your 2007 National meet.  The show dates for our show are September 29th and 30th, 2007 in Portage, Wisconsin.  Our club has hosted several large National meets in the past several years and has received many wonderful comments.
If your club were to place the 2007 National meet with us, we would offer the following:
v      You may choose a judge from our slate of judges as they have been contracted already.  They include:  Lewis Cunningham, Don Karasek, . Tim Bowles,  and Bob Carothers.  (Please note:  Bob Carothers has been chosen to judge the Wyandotte National, though, and would not be available to your Club.)
v      Your National would be the first to be judged in the morning.  We would set up a Champion row of your choice.
v      We will also provide the National show with four nice new trophies usually Champion and Reserve Champion  Bantam and Large Fowl or your choice.
v      There will be a separate meeting room from the show for your club meeting and we will provide a nice tablecloth table for you to use in our reception building as a National table.
v      Finally we would refund to your club $1.00 per  Ameraucana entered up to a maximum of $200.00 in cash money to distribute by your club as you would like.  You will receive the monies about 1 week before the show.  You can then place it in your envelopes if you choose to be distributed at the show.  Just let us know what works well for your club.\"

Gateway Show, IN
\"To the ABC Directors:
The Gateway Poultry Association, Inc. would like to submit a bid for the ABC National in 2007.  Our show is in Bloomington, Indiana, about 1 hour and 15 minutes south of Indianapolis.  We have an excellent facility for our show and are able to single deck cages.  Our exhibition hall is set up so that we can offer drive-thru unloading for anyone who wishes it.  In addition to poultry, we also have a pigeon show.
In 2007 we are offering a double sanctioned open show with the following judges.  Matt Lhamon (Lima, OH), Kirk Keene (Anna, IL), Jim Adkins (Sonora, CA) and Gary Overton (West Alexandria, OH).  The Junior Show is a single show with Matt McCammon (Bloomfield, IN) as judge.
Our show is mostly a cash awards show (see website for specifics) with handcrafted plaques going to Champion LF, Champion Bantam, and Champion Waterfowl.  Entry fees for 2007 are set at $5.00 per open show entry (two judges per bird) and $2.50 per junior show entry (one judge per bird).
Date of the show is Saturday April 14, 2007.  Breakfast and lunch is prepared by the Monroe County 4-H Poultry Club.  The food is homemade, delicious and reasonably priced.
The following is offered to ABC as part of our bid:
1.  ABC can select any two of the four judges to judge the Ameraucanas.
2.  Gateway will provide 2 additional handcrafted plaques to award to the Champion LF Ameraucana and Champion Bantam Ameraucana.
3. Gateway will provide a room (next to our cafeteria) to hold their annual meeting at no charge.
4. Gateway will provide a free table to advertise their breed or to fundraise for their club.
5.  Gateway will reimburse ABC $1.00 per Ameraucana entry to use as they wish.
6.  Although we are a one-day show, we normally open the show hall at noon on Friday to check in birds.  If desired, we (Gateway and the 4-H Poultry Club) would be willing to open the cafeteria and serve a spaghetti/chili dinner or similar menu to ABC members on Friday evening at a modest cost.
We feel that Bloomington, Indiana is in reasonable driving distance for a number of ABC members and April in Bloomington, Indiana is normally mild and beautiful.  Our redbuds are in full bloom and they are a lovely sight.
We can be contacted by email (heriana@aol.com) or phone (812-336-0026).  Our website is www.gatewaypoultry.org
Sincerely,
John and Anne Foley (Co-secretaries, Gateway Poultry Association, Inc., ABC members)\"

Bluegrass Show, KY
\"Our show has always been on the last Saturday in October.  In 2007  that will be the 27th.  what will you expect of the club other that advertising.  We do want all the meats we can receive.  In 2005 we hosted the Dominique  National .  Our city of Danville, KY  has plenty of motels and restaurants to serve any number of out of town guest we may draw in.
you may consider us for a Ameraucana National .   If u choose another site please send a Regional or state meet.
Thank you,
Oscar\"

Hoosier Show, IN
\"We would be pleased to host the Ameraucana Breeders Club National Meet...thanks...Dave\"

Stockton, CA
\"Hi Lisa,
We are generally receptive to any National Meet.  A lot of specialty clubs are accustomed to getting a rebate or some awards, but we don\'t do that as it generally does not increase our entry by that much when we have a National meet.
We would love to bid for the Ameraucana National and usually have several entries, both large and bantam.  Our show, as you know, will be held in Stockton at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds on January 26,27 and 28th. The judge will do all of the AOCCL Class.  Warren Carlow will probably do the Japanese national and may also do the AOCCL class as well as SCCL.
Birds may be shipped to the show and the nearest airport will be Sacramento.
I am copying Teresia Renwick on this e-mail so she will be aware of your intentions.
