Excellent point!  We did attend  a veterans memorial service at the cemetery.

I received an e-mail from my brother\'s son on Memorial Day to thank me for my military service.   I believe that was the first time anyone did that, and I got off active duty with the Navy in 1967.   It did mean a lot to me.

Mike, I had no idea you were a shipmate of mine!  

Well, sort of.  I retired from the Navy in 1999.   :D
