Just testing to see if this still works.   Last post was NOT in 2007 as the previous screen says.   I am getting only about 60% fertility in the eggs I set in December.

We turned the incubator on for a few weeks.  Wanted to get  25 or so winter chicks hatched out so that they will be of a nice size for nationals.  Our wheatens are running 44% fertility but of the fertiles we are hatching at 87%. The blacks are running 67% fertility but only hatching at 60%.  The buffs have just started - first hatch out of them this week, so we shall see how they are doing they are running 70% fertility so hopefully they hatch out with a nice % as well. Too bad the lavendars did not kick in for a few winter chicks.  We plan to turn the incubator off on the 30th so guess we will have to wait until spring for lavendar chicks.

How many chicks do you all hatch out in the winter for your spring early fall shows?
