Hi Phil,

When I got my chicks from John last year they were very healthy and soooo thirsty.  I took them out of the box one at a time and they immediately went to the waterer.  It was pretty funny to watch.

Hi Phil,

Yes, your buff chicks will be ready for the November show.  I hope to hatch several of the varieties that I have this spring, so we could end up with a colorful display of Ameraucanas this year.

Lavender project is going well.  There are pictures now on that post here--very pretty chicks.

Hi Suz,

I hope so, I am also getting some LF Ameraucana\'s in the
Buff Variety from Paul and Angela Smith,
It will be exciting to have some of the large fowl...
I believe it will be in the next week or two.
They are super people...as 99.9 percent of the poutry people I have met.....
I have the one male (buff)  from last summer, he\'s a hardy bugger, (If his comb was a little better I would show him, might do it anyway, just for his color.
been free ranging all fall and winter, and he wintered excellent, he headed for the trees.
about good 10 feet up or more.
I am finding out, it appears that the birds with a chance
to find shelter, seem to do better than the birds, I \"hot house\",
I will do it a little differently this winter,
I have my oegb\'s, I really like the pea combed birds,
they have not ever gotten frozen combs here.
Well until later, phil
