I know I sound like a six-year-old kid on Christmas, but we were very excited about this.  Both hens gave us their first egg in about two months yesterday, in the same nesting box.  Thanks to Mark Campbell in Indiana for this great-looking Black Ameraucana!

Waaay cool  They\'ll get bigger, one of mine started out laying PeeWee, and is now laying Extra Large a couple weeks later.  I love seeing the pix, best of luck with your hens!

Congrats!  It\'s a thrill!  I got my first blue egg years ago - a friend gave me an easter egger that lays eggs that color.  The hen, which I was told was an \"araucana\" lol, is now 10 years old.  Any how, later found out the muffed and bearded hen was the wrong color to be an ameraucana.  Oh well!

My real araucana pullets (rumpless) started laying 2 weeks ago, and I am getting some very fine blue eggs from them!  

Any how, hope to get a REAL Ameraucana some day!

BTW, nice pic of your horse.  I have two horses.
