To those of you who wondered where I may have been, and why I have not been answering my e=mails, I have been flat on my back with heavy sedation the past week.   Only now have I been able to assume the sitting position.    I spent a couple of days in ICU to stabilize the heart, but the main problem is herniated discs in my back.   To those of you waiting for birds to be shipped, I ask your patience at this time.   Unless things improve dramatically in the next 4 weeks there is no way I could consider the trip to Great Falls.   My friend and neighbor, Bob Walchak, has offerred to take some birds for me.   We will see how it goes, as I am getting therapy four days a week.    Please pass the word, and thanks.     By the way, my daughter spent most of her birthday here today cleaning pens.   She\'s a gem.

I talked to Mike briefly on the phone today.  He was feeling better yesterday, but the back pain got bad again during the night and he is taking some powerful drugs to get through.
The Dr\'s had suggested surgery, but he opted to try therapy to repair the herniated disks first.  It will take time.
His wife, Mary, is a real blessing.
