I've never had Ivomec fail as a wormer, but if I didn't see results, I would try something else in a short time 5-6 day. If that doesn't work there may be something else wrong with the bird

Hi Jeff, It last around three months. I never found it necessary to us other wormers with it, a good way to know your birds are  worm free is their litter should be solid with a nice white cap.

I'm sure Mr Carr and Mr Blackwell have that knowledge on good authority. Hey Jeff I haven't gotten a Wheaten rooster in the mail, do you think he got lost? :)

Hi Sharon, On the directions the bottle says 48 days for slaughter. Remember this is for cattle and once again the bottle gives a residue warning, it reads a withdrawal time in milk has not been established.

In conversations I've had with Paul Smith he has told me Roosters are sterile while molting. I don't know if every rooster molting is sterile, but I do know when the quill of the feather is developing and full of blood (a green feather) they are touchy because those feathers are very tender. A rooster may not do some things he would normally do while molting.

Jeff, I agree 100%.   I've been using Ivomec on my chickens for a long time .Ivomec pour on for cattle applied the way Mike described, I think is very effective and the easiest method to rid your chickens of worms, lice and mites.

From what I can see, I like the Wheaten cockerel. He has a nice looking tail, nice black chest good leg color and his hackle looks clean in the pic. It's hard to tell anything about his type. It would be best if we had a pic of him standing on the ground. then we could see how he's shaped, how he stands and how he holds his tail. Ok Jeff that being said I'd like to take a closer look, so just put him in a box and send him to me. I'll study him for a couple years and send him back of course I'll let you know what I think about him at that time. :)  (Good feather quality) What are you feeding that rooster? it looks like you gave him a bath in oil.

Clif, I just walked in the door. Tired from the long drive, but glad I went to the show. I kept thinking all the way home, Maybe your Ameraucana pullet Was better than anything entered in the Continental Class! I think you should lobby for it. Prizes or no prizes.

LOL.  :D

Linda and I are headed home from the Ameraucana meet that was held in Sedalia. We met Gordon Gillam,it was really nice to meet and visit with Gordon. There wasn't many Ameraucanas there to represent the ABC only 5 large fowl 4 were mine. And 6 Bantams. We had a great time, and I'm glad we went. With one of our Ameraucana pullets we won something we thought we would never win. After the judging of the second show  I walked down the aisle my chickens were on to see how they had done. My pullet that won BB and BV had also won champion continental!! Try that with one of your Ameraucanas:-) LOL. But I did not get to keep all the prizes because I didn't get to keep the title.  :'(
