Susan, I know you have had a tough job. I could not do it. Susan do you think the website could be a separate job? & possibly divide something else off also??Like new member info.  From what I’ve seen you have had a lot of different things to work on. We will all miss you. You have gotten us through a difficult time & done a super job.

My flock gets tested 2x a year and will not be tested til Nov next year. Does my NPIP/AI clean flock status get my young cockerels & Pullets into the early october show without bands since they themselves would not be tested yet????

So how do we get this discussion out in front of the judges instead of just within our membership?

Thank you Peggy for the nice write up. We had such a great time at the show. It was so nice to meet Peggy & Ernie from Texas. We were all glad for the opportunity to send some of our good birds to Texas.

Exhibiting & Promoting / It would be nice to see show photos in one place
« on: February 02, 2015, 10:50:21 AM »
Would it be possible to put show photos in one place?  I find it very helpful to look at show photos but find it difficult to go through the forum looking for pictures. I also saw a facebook post commenting on not enough photos of each color on our website. I know the photos are being updated and that is good. I think if there was an area on the forum with show photos in would be more anonymous. Just showing what is being shown not necessarily what the club is promoting as the best like in our website breed photos.

Breeding / Chick down color
« on: January 25, 2015, 10:00:14 AM »
I just hatched a dozen LF BBS chicks. So they are 1 day old. I was expecting to know which ones were black blue and splash but I have two that have brownish down mostly on the head? What color will that be and does the brown hue mean something in the adult? Also both parents were blue no other cock exposed to the pullet for five weeks.

Housing, Health & Hatching / How do I keep hatching eggs separate?
« on: January 20, 2015, 08:03:28 AM »
I have 3 different breedings  of eggs hatching hopefully Saturday. 19 eggs total candled. I read about putting them in mesh bags so chicks don't get mixed up. Would someone elaborate on what type of mesh bags to use & some precautions please. I will be around during hatching but don't want to chance chicks getting mixed up. I also have 2 still air incubators ready to put them in to dry off if I need it. But I'll need to divide them somehow also? Suggestions please.
