Breeding \"unrelated\" birds
« on: March 10, 2006, 09:57:38 AM »
ABC member Lisa Cree emailed a link to an article to me.  It is writen by Terry Wible and is on the ABA site.  It deals with breeding and can be applied to Ameraucana chickens.
I maintain that all chickens are related, so when people talk about breeding unrelated chickens I know that it is just a matter of how closely related they really are.  The same goes for humans and any kind of animal.

Have you read this article by Terry Wible? I thought he did a great job on it. Line breeding seems to be especially important in Japanese bantams. Type is everything and it\'s easily lost.
