To the best of my knowledge Michael Muenks and I are the only ones working on them, but I think Harry in PA knows someone that either has already developed some or is working on them too.
I have 8 pullets and 1 cockerel that are 1/2 LF black and 1/2 bantam lavender.  I\'ll save all the lavender chicks that hatch from them and hope some will grow into true LF, but know most will be medium sized birds.  Depending on what I get this year I may offer some LF lavender chicks next year.  Egg color, size and eye color will probably be the traits that will need the most attention for the next few years.

My LF lavender pullets are laying up a storm.  Anyone that has placed an order for chicks with me or plans to and wants a couple LF lavender chicks thrown in just let me know and I\'ll try to include a couple freebies with your order of 25 chicks.  This is assuming the cockerel is doing his part and the eggs hatch of course.  These will only be the F2 generation of this LF lavender project, so don\'t expect them to mature to the standard weights, but some could.  I would like to get many breeders breeding these as soon as possible so we can get them into the standard sooner rather than later.

John,
I got two chicks out of those 2 black/lav pullets I got from you but unfortunately they are both black/lav.  Since I bred them to my 8 lb Lavender Ameraucana type rooster their size will be or exceed the LF requirements for show, so size is no problem.  I did get one LF Lavender from my hen.  Harry

They are a dull looking gray blue, but quite large for medium sized pullets.  I\'ll concentrate on improving the size of the birds and egg color next year.  These F2 chicks will be 1/2 LF black, 1/4 bantam black, 1/8 bantam self blue OE and 1/8 bantam self blue d\'Anver.  All the genes should be there to select for and breed from.
